Yitri, she/her, and... I feel kinda bad for selling that guy's axe, but he was kind of a bitch. So I don't feel that bad.
RIK [as PIERRE]
Pierre Ardoise, he/him. Wh-what's going on with Kol? Also; fuck Urd. He had no right to pin me against that wall.
ZOE [as ALEKS]
Aleks, he/him. And I... I have nothing to say.
MIKE [as KOL]
Kol, he/him. And, uh... It's... it's pretty crowded. I just... I just need to... I'm just gonna leave. I'm just gonna leave.
ROVER
Hey, hey, hey, hey Rik, do you wanna explain what's going on here? What happened in the previous episodes?
RIK
Oh, I'll explain what was going on, alright. So, dear listener, follow me as I drag you along on this very rambly summary of what happened in the last few episodes. So we left the Waterloo Station and someone followed us. A jackass called Urd. We did a little shopping! Which was great fun! It was great fun. I tried to buy some art supplies, some spices. Don't know if I actually got those spices, because then I got assaulted by a man named Urd. The rest was having a merry old time. Aleks was out with Miguel. Yitri was doing her own thing. Kol as well. And eventually Yitri came to the rescue. We pushed him to the ground, took his axe, sold his axe, and then we went to the castle. Now Kol, our dear Koltrast, got lost in the crowd and we had to go back for him. He seemed a little shooketh. Why? I have no clue. But you, dear listener, you do. And I don't. (Laughs) So, yeah. That. (Laughs)
ROVER
Alright.
[Soft acoustic music starts playing]
So, you guys are walking into Darlington Palace. And there is about an hour or so left until the meeting that was planned with the House of Six would be over. It is more towards the back of the palace, so you guys will have to go there. You guys can still meet up with your butlers if you want, for the people who have butlers.
ALYSSA
Does Kol not have a butler?
ZOE
No, he wasn't there.
ROVER
Kol doesn't have a butler, yeah. Kol wasn't there, yeah.
RIK
Wait, Kol doesn't have a butler! No!
MIKE
Kol doesn't have a butler, no. Cause he's not a dick, that's why. (Laughs)
[Laughter]
ROVER
And Xana will also be found in the palace. You guys still have a moment to talk to each other before you guys probably want to head into the meeting. But that is on you. What do you guys still wanna do?
ALYSSA
Yitri's gonna tap Aleks on the shoulder-ish area, whatever she can reach and be like,
ALYSSA [as YITRI]
Hey, uhm... Can I talk to you about something? Like, over there?
ALYSSA
She kind of points in the general direction a little away from everyone else, but not at a specific spot. Just kind of, like…
ROVER
Mmhmm.
ZOE
He looks down on her, not in a mean way, just cause he's tall, right?
[Laughter]
Just to make that clear! Not in a condescending way! He looks down at her with a really healthy amount of suspicion, cause he's not quite sure why she would want to talk to him. He looks over to the general area that she pointed to.
ZOE [as ALEKS]
I suppose so. Did something happen, Yitri?
ALYSSA [as YITRI]
Uhm... I-I'll... You'll, uh...
ALYSSA
She kind of looks to the other two, looks at Kol and Pierre, and is like,
ALYSSA [as YITRI]
We'll be right back, okay? Nothing back, just, we'll be right back.
ALYSSA
And then leads Aleks to the side.
ROVER
Question. Is this a conversation you mind the players hearing?
ALYSSA
Yeah! I don't care if they hear it.
ROVER
Okay.
ALYSSA
She's gonna go to Aleks and be like,
ALYSSA [as YITRI]
Hey, uhm... Okay, so I have two things. Do you want me to start with the lighter of the two or do you wanna start with the, like... hard stuff?
ZOE [as ALEKS]
I am not sure what you want from me, Yitri. Just start with whatever you want to start with.
ALYSSA [as YITRI]
Okay. Hmm, how do I wanna do this? Uh...
ALYSSA
She's gonna, like (laughing) take a coin out of her pouch and flip it.
[Rik laughs]
ZOE
Aleks is facepalming in the background, once again.
ALYSSA
Heads for serious, tails for silly.
[Coin dings]
Okay, got heads, so we're starting off strong. Okay, cool. She's gonna sigh after the result of the coin. She's gonna be like,
ALYSSA [as YITRI]
God dammit, I should've just started with the light thing. (Sighs) Uhm, I... How do I say this? I'm not good at this. Uhm... About you dying... I... It was because you ran after me, right?
ZOE [as ALEKS]
I don't see how that is relevant right now, Yitri.
ALYSSA [as YITRI]
What do you mean, "How is it relevant?"? Why aren't you more upset with me about it? Y-you're –
ZOE [as ALEKS]

ALYSSA [as YITRI]
A little bit, yeah! Cause it's my fault! Because –
ZOE [as ALEKS]
What happened wasn't your fault.
ALYSSA [as YITRI]
Yes, it was! I went back out like a fucking idiot. And then I-I... Not expecting you guys to come after me, and then you did, and then I got off unscathed. And you fucking died.
ZOE [as ALEKS]
You went out again to help someone. That is our entire job description.
ALYSSA [as YITRI]
I know, but –
ZOE [as ALEKS]
We literally do not do anything else.
ALYSSA [as YITRI]
I know.

And what happened after was because of my own decisions.
ALYSSA [as YITRI]
I know. I just feel like –
ZOE [as ALEKS]
That is nothing you can blame yourself for.
ALYSSA [as YITRI]
I feel like an idiot for not thinking anyone would go after me. I kinda just went out thinking, "Okay, they're all safe now. I'm gonna do something." And then I didn't think about you guys and I'm really sorry about it. And I... Ever since I saw that there was that... Cause when we were trying to see what magic was in the train, I saw that there was, like... I don't know how to explain it, the glasses work weird. I just kind of see a color or like an aura color of each thing. It's something I've never seen. It was a color I've never seen before. And I've seen most types of magic, so I kind of just assumed that it was, you know, Necromancy. And I've never seen anything like that before. And then when you told Miguel that... (sighs) you died and then... I only assumed it was after I went back out for the two guards, and... I'm sorry. I know you don't blame me, but I feel like you should a little bit. Cause it was my fault. We had a plan to go back in and then I didn't follow it. And I was being really impulsive. And I wasn't working with the team. I was thinking that you guys would just kind of... not go after me, I guess. And that was stupid of me and I wanna apologize.
ZOE [as ALEKS]
Yitri.
ZOE
And he puts a hand on your shoulder.
ZOE [as ALEKS]
While I appreciate your apology, and I accept it, it is not necessary. Not only because, as I said, what happened was because of my decisions. We also already talked about this. You know, on the train. When we said that we need to watch out about how we act?
ALYSSA [as YITRI]
Yeah.
ZOE [as ALEKS]
Because some people, not just you...
[Alyssa chuckles]
... were behaving quite reckless.
ALYSSA [as YITRI]
Yeah. Kol put us on a roof.
ZOE [as ALEKS]
Yes.
[Laughter]
ALYSSA [as YITRI]
We could've just... (Laughs)
MIKE
You... Kol is not listening and this is non-canon, but you put yourself on a fucking roof! (Laughs)
ALYSSA
(Laughing) Hey! I put Pierre on the roof, because we thought you were kidnapping Aleks! And then I got on the roof afterwards, okay?
MIKE
We're not getting into this now! Alyssa!
RIK
Oh my god.
[Laughter]
RIK
Yitri's just pointing fingers. "Ah yes, Kol put us on the roof!"
ALYSSA
She did not actually point, she just said,
ALYSSA [as YITRI]
Kol put us on a roof. You know, we all... If you really think about it; none of us know what the fuck we're doing. We kind of just all...
ZOE [as ALEKS]
We don't.
ALYSSA [as YITRI]
We don't, and they're making us do some... (Gulps) And, I know. I know we already went over it, but I just wanted you to hear it from me personally, you know? And it was weighing on me and I... Selfishly, this is kind of for me to know that we're cool, I guess. You don't have to be, cause I... If I were you, I'd be pissed at me, too. I don't blame you, at all. But I know there's nothing I can –
ZOE [as ALEKS]

ZOE [as ALEKS]
I'm going to be really honest with you.

I mean, yeah. Which, you know, to work as a team, it's important to at least not hate each other.

ALYSSA [as YITRI]

I accept your apology, and it is totally fine that you wanted to tell me this so you could feel better. That's alright.
ALYSSA [as YITRI]
(Quietly) I feel a lot better. (Normal volume) Uhm, okay, so, other thing. This is a complete 180. Like it's gonna be all... That cloak of yours is amazing.
ZOE [as ALEKS]

ALYSSA [as YITRI]
I just... I come from a family of glassblowers, and I see glass all the time. It's just so... I love... I've been meaning to say this, and there's no time, cause we've been experiencing the horrors, so it's kind of hard to compliment people when the horrors are happening. And I know this is also, again, also probably an awful time to do it. But we have some downtime, might as well. Like, we're already here. Might as well. But I just... It's... I love it. (Chuckles) It's so nice.
ZOE [as ALEKS]
Honestly Yitri, I... I don't know how they did it.
ALYSSA [as YITRI]
Yeah.
ZOE [as ALEKS]
I have no idea how they got the glass into this fabric.
ALYSSA [as YITRI]
I was gonna say!
ZOE [as ALEKS]
But I'm glad they did.
ALYSSA [as YITRI]

ROVER
And while they are talking firstly about some really personal stuff, both Kol and Pierre can see that this is a serious conversation that you guys probably shouldn't interrupt. But what are you guys doing in the meantime?
ZOE
Suddenly Aleks starts twirling around.
[Laughter]
ROVER
It must be very personal.
MIKE
I was gonna say, if we could cut back...
ROVER
Yeah.
MIKE
... to the point where Yitri said... What did you say? "Can I just have a minute?" Or something like that.
ALYSSA
Yeah. Yeah, something like that.
MIKE
We could cut back to that?
ROVER
Absolutely.
MIKE
We're inside now, right? We're in the building?
ROVER
Yeah, you are inside, yes.
MIKE
Kol, as soon as Yitri is... Kol wasn't paying any attention to Yitri. He just looked at her and sees her sort of waving and then walking away. And he, with his back against the wall, just slides down a pillar and sits in a little ball, just for a minute. Sort of doing breathing exercises.
RIK [as PIERRE]
Y-you don't wanna find a seat? Uh...
MIKE [as KOL]
(Sighs) It's nicer on the floor.
RIK [as PIERRE]
Okay.
[Mike sighs]
RIK
And Pierre goes to the wall and sits next to him.
[Mike exhales]
Puts his hand on Koltrast's shoulder.
RIK [as PIERRE]
Hey. What's going on?
MIKE [as KOL]
Hmm. It's just, uhm... Claustrophobia.
RIK [as PIERRE]
Press can be very scary. (Chuckles) I haven't exactly experienced it myself, but, uh...
MIKE [as KOL]
(Sighing) Yeah.
RIK [as PIERRE]
(Chuckles) They're like piranha's.
MIKE [as KOL]
Yeah, they... They really, really are. And they have a habit of showing up when you least expect them.
RIK [as PIERRE]
(Chuckles) E-encountered them before?
MIKE [as KOL]
Hmm. Yeah. Yeah, I've encountered, uh... the press before.
RIK [as PIERRE]
Hmm. I didn't figure you for much of a public person.
MIKE [as KOL]
Pierre.
MIKE
And Kol looks you straight in the eye. And is like,
MIKE [as KOL]
Could you, please, get me a coffee.
RIK
Pierre smiles somewhat.
RIK [as PIERRE]
(Chuckles) Of course.
RIK
He gets up and he goes to find Chufley Jones, or Jones Chufley, or whatever his name is. (Laughs)
ALYSSA
Yeah!
RIK
I think it's Jones Chufley.
[Laughter]
ZOE
The infamous slow-ass coffee maker.
RIK
The slowest, but reliable coffee maker.
[Mike laughs]
He eventually gave it to me and it was damn good coffee, okay?
ALYSSA
He did get the coffee.
RIK
I trust this man with my coffee on my life. Yes. Yes. Jones Chufley, best coffee maker in the West.
[Chuckles]
MIKE
As soon as Pierre walks away, like as he's walking away to get a coffee. Kol stops slumping on the wall and fully sits on the floor. Staring into space and very gently closing his eyes and continues doing breathing exercises until Pierre comes back. And he whispers to himself,
MIKE [as KOL]
My god, this could be it. I can’t believe it. (Sighs) They're gonna hate me for this.
ROVER
Hey, Pierre.
RIK
(Whispering) What the fuck? (Normal volume) Yes?
RIK [as PIERRE]
That's my name.
ROVER
So, I assume that you're gonna be looking around the palace where the butlers are, right?
RIK
Yep. Just gonna be looking around trying to find them.
ROVER
Yeah. Can I have a Perception check?
RIK
Of course.
[Paper rustling and dice clacks]
ZOE
If you roll an 8, I'm gonna die.
MIKE
Yeah, please roll an 8.
RIK
(Laughing) I'm not... I haven't rolled an 8. What's my..?
ROVER
Is it a 9?
[Laughter]
RIK
It’s a 16, so...
ALYSSA
Ooh!
ROVER
Ooh! So it's double 8! It's double 8!
MIKE
Ooh, okay! Oh, he's going up in the world!
ALYSSA

ZOE
So it's an 8... I was gonna say, it's an 8 times 2!
[Laughter]
ROVER
Anyway. Yeah, so you are walking through the halls. And you're looking through the rooms to kind of see if any of your butlers are there. Because they... From what you've gathered from the past hours is that they are probably not expecting you guys to be back, right? They said approximately 3 days max. you guys had to be back. And it's only been one day. And you…
RIK
We're fast.
ALYSSA
We're efficient.
ROVER
You come across a smaller... what looks to be an office. But it's very tucked away in the corners. And you can hear mumbling coming from the room. And what languages do you speak?
RIK
Pierre speaks, and that is conveniently cut off from my paper sheet, which is annoying. (Laughs) Common, Common Sign language, French, and Dwarfish.
ROVER
Okay. Which means that this is a language that you do not recognize. And you do not speak. But you can hear that one of them is definitely the voice of your butler. And the other one, you can kind of understand once you get closer, you can understand that it's Xana talking. And they currently have not noticed that someone’s walking down the hall towards them. And they are talking to each other. And once you step closer to that room, the door opens and Xana steps out and she's rubbing her face. And she sees you. Give me an Insight check.
RIK
(Sighing) Oh boy. She's gonna be not that happy to see me.
[Dice clacks]
MIKE
Uh oh...
RIK
That's a… 6 plus Insight, that's… That's 9.
ROVER
So with a 9 you can tell that there is this kind of... a shock coming over her face? And she looks at you and then she looks kind of past you to see if there's anyone with you. And then she looks back at you and she says,
ROVER [as XANA]
Tell me I'm just imagining you.
RIK [as PIERRE]
Xana! I was just, uhm, trying to find you! Uh, actually the person I wanted to speak to. Yeah! I want to report back.
ROVER [as XANA]
I said, "Tell me you are just an imagination, right?"
RIK [as PIERRE]
(Sighs) If you want me to be. (Laughs) Uhm, no, I'm actually here, Xana. Hello.
ROVER [as XANA]
Like my day couldn't be any fucking worse.
ROVER
And...
RIK
Ouch! Hello?! (Laughs)
ROVER
So, Jones, your butler, also walks out of that room, and he spots you. And it is also... This man does not have the more poker-faced look that Xana has. She can immediately put that up. He, however, looks at you and is immediately like,
ROVER [as JONES]
(Panicky) I-I wouldn't... I wasn't expecting you. Hello. Hello.
ROVER
And there's just nervous energy coming from him and he's immediately like,
ROVER [as JONES]
Uh, do you, uhm... Welcome... Welcome, welcome home. Uhm... C-can I help you with anything?
ROVER
Definitely... He's walking with a circle around Xana.
RIK
Hmm. Can I roll an Insight for this man?
ROVER
Absolutely.
RIK
Alright.
[Dice clacks]
That's a 13.
ROVER
He's looking at you in a way of panic. And you can see that when he's not his very awkward but polite smile, he is darting his eyes to Xana and just being like,
ROVER [as JONES]
D-do you need anything? Can I get anything?
ROVER
And he's so nervous. He looks like he is waiting for someone to explode in a fit of anger.
RIK [as PIERRE]
Uhm, yeah, actually. I would like a coffee.
[Laughter]
ROVER [as JONES]
Coffee. Yes!
RIK [as PIERRE]
You know, last time you did... (Chuckles) You know, it was...
ROVER [as JONES]
I-I'm so sorry.
RIK [as PIERRE]
You took quite a while.
ROVER [as JONES]
I'm so sorry. I will get you the coffee immediately.
ALYSSA
(Silently screaming) Don't tell him that!
ROVER
And he, without letting you finish the sentence, he looks back at Xana…
RIK [as PIERRE]
Oh, h-he's walking away. Okay.
ROVER
… and walks off towards the kitchen.
[Laughter]
RIK [as PIERRE]
Oh, okay. I figured Koltrast would've maybe wanted a cappuccino, or something. But I guess it will just be coffee.
[Mike laughs]
Just a dark coffee.
RIK
(Clears throat) Pierre straightens out.
RIK [as PIERRE]
Okay. Yeah, so, we... we are back, Xana. Yes.
ROVER [as XANA]
Yes, I can see that.
RIK [as PIERRE]
Sooner than expected.
ROVER [as XANA]
Why? Why are you back? I-is it just you, are you just... You forgot something, I can understand that. I'm sure you just got another train ticket to pick something up from the room. I'm sure you left something in the room, right, Pierre? Right?
RIK [as PIERRE]
(Chuckles nervously) It... well... Uhm, we, uh... We are all here.
ROVER
And her eyes kind of... It's like they glaze over and she straightens herself up. And she clasps her hands together. And she walks past you towards the main hall where Yitri and Aleks and Kol all are.
RIK
Pierre briskly walks towards Xana.
RIK [as PIERRE]
Listen, uhm, we didn't expect to back this soon, but we did find out some things and where we should investigate next. So, if you want a status report, we can provide this.
ROVER
She stops walking.
RIK [as PIERRE]
We got some information...
ROVER
And she turns around, her hands still clasped together, and is like,
ROVER [as XANA]
It better be useful information, Pierre. Right?
RIK [as PIERRE]
I think it is. It's a lead towards where Jonny might have gone, o-or what Jonny was actually investigating, more like. So, uhm, I-I think we should get a meeting room a-and just figure something out.
ROVER [as XANA]
Pierre.
ROVER
And she... She kneels in front of you, hands on her legs and she's...
RIK
She hates me, oh god. (Laughs)
ROVER [as XANA]
Pierre. You are going to tell me, right here, what the fuck happened at Manchester University. Why did I need to cover up you guys' first ever investigation? I... I am trying so hard to understand how you guys work as a team. And I hope you can understand that... You know, you had a little bit of a fit against me yesterday.
RIK [as PIERRE]
I did.
ROVER [as XANA]
In the back of my head, I was like, "Okay. Maybe if he has the guts to do this, I'm sure he can kind of lead the team together. And I assumed with the... professional that I really hope Miguel chose the right one for, that you guys would make a team that would actually benefit this country. So tell me, Pierre; why did I have to cover up the first ever incident of this group? In the middle of the night!
RIK [as PIERRE]
So, uhm...
RIK
Pierre starts sweating profusely. (Strained) Oh god.
RIK [as PIERRE]
Uh, so, uhm.. It's a funny story, really. So, the... I don't wanna... We kind of, uhm... broke in. We went on to the roof of the University and it was this monster and... Things went south. We did not expect things to go this way.
ROVER
Yitri, Kol, and Aleks; roll me a Perception check to see if you guys can start hearing...
RIK
God.
ZOE
Please. Please.
[Alyssa groans and screams]
RIK
I mean, we're, like, on the stairs, no?
MIKE
Whoa. Okay.
[Dice clacks]
ROVER
You guys are... Yeah.
RIK
We're on the stairs, and they're in that main room.
ROVER
Yeah.
RIK
(Laughing) They could probably hear Pierre panicking.
ZOE
Literally, Pierre, shut the fuck up!
ALYSSA
Pierre!
MIKE
21! Dirty.
ZOE
Ah, let's go! 19.
ALYSSA
I also got a 19.
ROVER
Yeah. It's almost like there is... The moment Pierre starts stuttering and you hear that he's telling Xana that you guys broke into the University, you guys all hear this.
ZOE
Aleks facepalms in the background.
[Laughter]
ALYSSA
Yitri's face just dropped. Cause she's admiring the cloak and then it just like... a shift. Her face just dropped and she's like, "This guy didn't just fucking say that we broke in. No, I'm imagining things!" (Chuckles)
MIKE
While Yitri's having that thought, Kol appears behind Xana. (Laughs)
[Laughter]
MIKE
And is like...
RIK
Pierre's just rambling on. Like,
RIK [as PIERRE]
I... It was not like it's... We didn't plan this out like that.
MIKE [as KOL]
Xana. It's nice to finally put a face to a name.
ROVER
She kind of freezes and she slowly stands up again. And she turns around to look at you. And she looks you up and down and then looks back at you and is like,
ROVER [as XANA]
Koltrast, I presume?
MIKE [as KOL]
Hmm. Mmhmm. That's me. Good to meet you, finally.
ROVER [as XANA]
Good to meet you, too, I hope.
MIKE [as KOL]
My contractor told me many things about you.
ROVER [as XANA]
I'm sure he did. Only good things, I hope.
MIKE [as KOL]
Hmm. So-so. But don't worry.
ROVER [as XANA]

Anyway, I hear my colleague is filling you in on the mission details. We did run into a little bit of a problem. But, uh, it's over now. And we have a new lead. Right, Pierre?
RIK [as PIERRE]
Uh, yeah, we do. Actually, yeah.
MIKE [as KOL]
He says it less confidently, because uhm, he's just a bunny, really.
RIK [as PIERRE]
A bunny?
MIKE
And Kol narrows his eyes at Pierre.
ROVER
Xana has a moment where you can... even without an Insight check, you can tell that she is looking at you quizzical, before she has... Like, you see that she has this very, very small grin on her face. And she's like,
ROVER [as XANA]
Finally someone is speaking my words. So...
MIKE [as KOL]
Hmm. Tell me about it.
RIK
Damn.
ROVER [as XANA]
I think that we can agree that this is an incident that cannot happen again. Right?
MIKE [as KOL]
Hmm. Fully agreed. This was egregious and I do apologize. I'll take the blame for this one. We came under fire quite early on and it got a lot more public than it usually does.
ROVER [as XANA]
I see. Well, it's good to know that at least someone follows orders here.
ROVER
And she walks downstairs and gives a nod to Aleks and Yitri. And she turns around again, looks at all of you guys, like,
ROVER [as XANA]

So. This is not a good moment to be back here, but alas, you guys are here. We are in a bit of a predicament, currently. The House of Six have arrived a couple hours ago, and Mr. Isworth and the… rest are currently in a meeting. I do not suppose you guys have any information that could possibly be necessary for that meeting?
MIKE [as KOL]
We do have, uhm, something that might be of interest. But, uh, I think it's best if we gather the others first. Would you mind if I go get them? They're just over there.
MIKE
As Kol gestures down the stairs.
ROVER [as XANA]
Of course, I... I assume you are the leader of this group.
MIKE [as KOL]
Yes, ma'am.
ROVER [as XANA]
So, yeah, gather your team.
MIKE [as KOL]

MIKE
And Kol turns and walks past her to go and get Aleks and Yitri.

As Kol goes to get Yitri, Yitri's like,

Kol doesn't even break a sweat when she says that. And is like... Yeah. And just ushers them up the stairs back towards Pierre and everyone. And I'm assuming the waiting party, by this point.

Yeah. So, Xana's like,

And she starts leading you through Darlington Palace. Throughout large halls you can see that… Uhm…
[Footsteps]
MIKE
It's alright. While you're thinking of the words...
ROVER
(Whispering) Yes, do that.
MIKE
... Kol, while we're walking, is going to stealthily brief in Aleks and Yitri while they're walking up, to sort of bring them up to speed with what's going on.
ROVER
And, yeah, she leads you guys towards a dining hall at the far back into the palace. And, once again, you can hear this mumbling coming through the doors into that room.
[Mumbling starts in the background]
And she knocks twice on the door.
[Knocking]
Everything falls silent.
[Mumbling stops]
And you can hear... just before the door opens, you can hear a shuffling coming from behind you guys. And it's just Jones coming in with...
[Laughter]

ROVER [as JONES]
I-I-I thought you guys were back at where I left you guys. I didn't notice that you already started walking. Here's your coffee, sir.

He hands you the coffee.

MIKE [as KOL]
You got your butler to get me a...? (Sighs)

ROVER
Yeah, sure.
RIK

[Dice clacks]
ALYSSA

And yeah, so Xana knocks on the door and it goes quiet in that room. And you can hear Tobias saying,

Do we need an interruption?
ROVER
And before she says anything, she opens the doors.
[Doors open]
And says,

I have a team that would like to make an audience with you.
ROVER
And she guides you guys into the room. Now, this is the first time that you guys see the entire House of Six.
MIKE
Yeah. Oh boy.
ALYSSA
There's six of 'em.
MIKE
There's all six!
ALYSSA
There's sure six of 'em.
ROVER
All six of them.
RIK
One, two, three, four. Wait, that's the second count.
MIKE
Wow.
ROVER
I'm gonna finally explain what the House of Six fully looks like. So...
ALYSSA
Ooh!
ROVER
The first person that Pierre will notice is the president of France, Ciel Greenaxe.
RIK
Whoo! France!
ROVER
They are a Dwarf and they look quite sturdy. Their hair is in a very, very tight ponytail and they have these sharp sideburns. And next to that you have an Owlin named Valkyra. She is the president of Greece. Then next to her is a very tall Elf with long... Valkyra is, by the way... whitest of white snow-owls. And next to her is a large Elf with long, brown hair who is currently sipping from a glass of wine. And very much trying to not make eye-contact with everyone. His name is Luciano Fiore. He is from Italy. Then you have Tobias standing next to them in the outfit that you guys saw him in yesterday, which seems to be his formal outfit. And then there is a Leonin from Belgium. Her name is Samira Silenthall. And she is also looking away from you guys. And they are all in these formal dresses and suits. All colors of black, greens, and white. And I missed someone, which is...
ZOE
Germany.
ROVER
(Chuckles) I was about to say so. The president of Germany, who is Brunhilde. She is an Orc. And those are the Six. And you guys can immediately see that, except for Luciano and Samira, who are both looking away from you guys, everyone's eyes are on you as a group. And Tobias is clearly looking at Kol specifically.
MIKE
Oh, Kol is studying all of them to within an inch.
ROVER
Mmhmm.
MIKE
Like, he's looking at each one and trying to mentally figure them out.
ROVER
Mmhmm. You wanna give me an Insight check?
MIKE
Yes, please. Yes, please! I would love to give you an Insight check. Uh... Oh, my Insight's not amazing. Oh, okay, alright. That's a 19.
ROVER
19? Okay.
ALYSSA
"My Insight's not amazing." Rolls a 19.
[Laughter]
MIKE
Yeah, I got 17 plus 2. I just got real lucky, man.
ROVER
So, I'm gonna use the 19 for literally every single one of them. The people who are looking at you guys seem... a little bit more stressed than usual. And the people that look a bit more stressed are Brunhilde, who is the... I'm gonna keep saying it, the Orc, and Samira, who is looking away, the Leonin from Belgium. She's looking away and she's clearly not making eye contact with you guys and you can see that she is also... Her body looks quite tense. And Ciel is more focused on Pierre and seems to actually kind of... look less tense, the moment she notices Pierre. Luciano is looking away in a way of... "Oh, here we go." He looks like he is about to say, "I don't get paid enough for this shit."
[Laughter]
ROVER
And is just sipping on a glass of wine, which they all have, but he is the only one drinking it. And he's looking kind of over the glass at some point towards you guys. So, an Owlin is an owl-humanoid creature, and a Leonin is a lion-humanoid creature. And they are all looking at you. Tobias, with the 19, you can see he is extensively trying to figure out... Like, how you are assessing the entire House of Six, he is specifically trying to get a read on you, specifically. Trying to understand who you are.
MIKE
It's okay. He's trying to undress me with his eyes.
[Laughter]
And he'll never succeed.
ZOE
You don't want that.
RIK
Oh damn.
MIKE
Slay.
[Laughter]
ZOE
Not from Tobias.
ALYSSA
(Doing an impression of Kol) He wants this, but he's not gonna have it. (Laughs)
[Mike chuckles]
ROVER
He looks desperate. Very desperate. In a way where you can see with everyone else there... You can see from their glasses that they have at least drank a little bit. He has not even touched his glass. And he looks tense and desperate in a way of, like, "This better work." Everyone here, I think, would mostly know from the conversations that have been had before, that Tobias is against the Bounty Hunters and this was gonna be a meeting, that you guys could've told from the newspapers, where he was going to try to get the Bounty Hunters outlawed. You can clearly see that this meeting is not going well. And yeah, they are currently all looking at you guys.
ALYSSA
Yitri's just smiling. Like, she's just kind of trying to put up a, "Oh, hi! I'm not trying to be a problem, I'm just here." Her smile is very clearly forced, but she's trying to not force it, in a way. Just trying to be like, "Haha, hi guys! Hihi. Teehee. Nothing to see here, haha." That's kind of what she's trying to put out, but it's definitely not working.
MIKE
Kol is kind of the opposite of that. He is very much professional, cool, calm. But he is really looking at them. Like, trying to understand them without saying anything.
ZOE
Aleks is... He is smiling, but in a very small, polite way. Like how you smile at a coworker that you don't like.
[Laughter]
Cause... He's kind of also there. Not too thrilled, but he doesn't really want to show that. And he gives a quick glance over to Kol. Just in a... "You go for it, man." kind of way. Cause he also just, and I'm putting it in air-quotes for the listeners, "safe the conversation with Pierre and Xana."
[Mike laughs]
RIK
Pierre is looking the most blank-faced you've ever seen him. But if you look closely enough, there is a drop of sweat running down the side of his face.
[Laughter]
And internally, he's stressing the fuck out.
ROVER
While everyone seems to be quietly looking at you guys, Valkyra steps up and she puts her hands behind her back and says,
ROVER [as VALKYRA]
Well, I think we kind of needed this. Uhm... We should take a break, probably.
ROVER
And she walks around the table and actually gives you all a hand and introduces herself. And she says,
ROVER [as VALKYRA]
Hello. This was probably not the right moment to get you guys in here. My name is Valkyra Nightwatcher, I'm the president of Greece. It's good to see you all here. I think we could all get some fresh... (exhales) Some fresh views in here.
ROVER
And she shakes all of you guys' hands if you guys allow her to.
ALYSSA
Yeah.
ZOE
Yeah.
MIKE
Oh yeah, absolutely. Yeah.
ALYSSA
Gives like a good, solid handshake. Now, not too firm, but one of the ones where you give a middle-aged man a handshake, they're like, "That's a good handshake." One of those.
ROVER

RIK

It's... It's actually a pleasure to meet you guys, as well. I've heard a lot of things about you guys. You guys saved some people in Manchester, I heard. I'm very excited to hear the story. Shall we... Shall we just have a moment before we continue, guys?
ROVER
And she looks to the rest.
ALYSSA
Yitri shoots Pierre a look. A look of like, "Do not say anything, Pierre! Please, god, do not say anything, Pierre!" (Laughs)
[Laughter]
RIK
Yes! Saved, am I right? (Laughs)
ALYSSA
Yeah! So, she looks at Pierre like that, but she looks at the others too, like, "Oh my god." There's like 17 emotions going on in her eyes, right now. Most of it's like, "Pierre, please, for the love of god, don't say we broke in. Please! No one say we broke in!"
RIK
Pierre knows he fumbled that. He's not... He's not... His lips are, mmm, zipped up.
ALYSSA
So she's just trying... (Laughing) She's in fear for her life, right now.
[Rik giggles]
She's horrified!
ROVER
I'm going to see if she notices.
ALYSSA
And just trying really hard to seem like,
[Dice clacks]
"Oh, she's not scared. This is an honor to meet all these people."
RIK

ALYSSA
We got this! We got this! We're meeting the most powerful people in the whole continent. And they're like, "You guys did something great!" And we didn't. And we have to lie. (Chuckles)
ZOE
Aleks shoots her kind of a reassuring glance. Because, first and foremost, Aleks is a storyteller.
ALYSSA

ZOE
He's like, "Girl, don't worry.
[Mike chuckles]

MIKE
Kol is gonna step up to the plate and say, while he's shaking the hand, and is like,

Saving people isn't always part of the job. But we're always happy when it is.
ROVER [as VALKYRA]
Honey, you don't have to lie to me. I understand what's going on. Uhm, do not let them make you think of anything else.
MIKE [as KOL]

As he lets go of the hand.

And she stands next to you guys and you can see that slowly Ciel and Luciano are doing the same thing. They are saying hi to you guys, shaking your hands. Samira and Brunhilde are currently very much staring at each other. You can tell that they probably had a conversation before you guys walked in where it did not end in good terms. And Tobias is still staring at you guys. He doesn't even look anywhere else. He doesn't take a step closer to you guys. And when Ciel gets to Pierre, they say hi to you in French. And I think they would try to have a little bit of a 'good to see you' conversation. A little bit of a back and forth in French. They feel much more at ease talking in their native language.
RIK
Pierre says in French,
RIK [as PIERRE]
Great to see you, your Excellence. It's a pleasure to finally meet you.
ROVER [as CIEL]
It's uh... Yeah, I mean i-it's good to meet you, as well. It's good to finally have someone on my side.
RIK [as PIERRE]
(Chuckles) Yeah. I figure.
ROVER [as CIEL]
How are you guys holding up here? It's been a bit of a stressful time, I've heard.
RIK [as PIERRE]
Uh, i-it has been. But, you know, I think our team is getting together quite nicely. And, you know, ready to save some lives. (Chuckles nervously)
ROVER [as CIEL]
Wonderful. That's...
RIK
And he gives the most awkward laughs. (Chuckles) Everyone could probably clock that, but hey.
ROVER
Do you wanna do a Persuasion or Deception roll? (Laughs)
RIK

ROVER

Luciano gives you guys a hand, says his name, doesn't do anything else. He stands back next to Valkyra, gives her a little nudge. Yeah, and then Tobias finally speaks up.
ROVER [as TOBIAS]
I was not aware that you guys were going to be back this early. This was supposed to be a meeting without you guys.
ALYSSA [as YITRI]
We can go if you need us to. (Chuckles)
ROVER [as TOBIAS]
No. I think we don't need a break. I think we're just going to continue this conversation here. I'm sure you guys have new views to talk about. Valkyra is right, this is going to be a very interesting conversation with you guys actually here. Please, make... Jones, can you get them some extra chairs?
ROVER
And Jones nods and he's like,
ROVER [as JONES]
Y-yeah, yeah, I'll be... I'll be right back.
ROVER
And he walks off and then the moment he's kind of more out of view, you guys can see that he's running. (Laughs)
[Alyssa laughs]
ZOE
Go Jones!
ROVER
He's running to get stuff.
ALYSSA

MIKE
I have no idea who these people are. (Laughs)
ROVER
Laughs) Jones, after a while, comes back – with all of you guys' butlers, as well – to bring the chairs in. Puts chairs around the large dinner table that they are at. And they allow you guys to also take a seat. And Luciano is immediately like,
ROVER [as LUCIANO]
You guys want some wine?
ROVER
And he's kind of shaking, twirling around his bottle of wine.
ZOE [as ALEKS]
No, thank you.
ALYSSA
So, Yitri... I wanna... Cause this is all gonna happen in, like, a second, but there's a lot of mental calculation. Cause in her head, she's like, "This is a test. This is a test, and if I say the wrong thing, they're gonna smite me." (Chuckles) And she's like, "But I really want wine, that would help. But also, it might make me say some shit." And she's just trying to calculate in her head –
ROVER
He doesn't wait. He sees that you're thinking about it and he starts pouring wine into a glass, and he puts it in front of you.
ALYSSA [as YITRI]
T-thank you very much.
ALYSSA
Takes a swig of it. She's just going at it.
ROVER
And unless anyone stops him, he's gonna do the same for everyone else.
RIK [as PIERRE]

Kol declines.
ZOE

ROVER

And he sits back in his chair. While everyone's being very polite and formal, the moment he sits down, the feet go up onto the table, crosses his ankles and...
[Rik chuckles]
He is wearing these very expensive-looking, almost snakeskin-looking shoes. And he just continues sipping on his wine. And Tobias goes,
ROVER [as TOBIAS]
Now that the entire party is here, I think we can come to the conclusion that we were trying to make even better. Right, Samira?
ROVER
And Samira looks down and she just says,
ROVER [as SAMIRA]
As long as this is over with, I cannot stand more people getting hurt. Not for… Not for this. This is not worth it.
ROVER
And what they are starting to talk about, because I have decided I'm not going to voice six NPC's talking to each other. I'm just going to give you guys a summary. They get back to the topic of the Bounty Hunters maybe getting outlawed. And Tobias' stance is clearly on what happened in Sweden a couple years ago. And everyone give me a History check.
[Dice clacks]
MIKE
(Singing) History check.
ALYSSA
Well, I got a 4, so... (Laughing) I don't know shit!
MIKE

ALYSSA

For the 12 and the 16; Pierre, you are... from the entire group here, you are the oldest. You heard both instances of the flood happening and you heard when Sweden fell.
RIK
You can kinda see him visibly nod along as these things are mentioned.
ROVER
Yeah. Aleks, you will have heard it from your parents. And the both of you, and later through this conversation Valkyra will, once she can see that Kol and Yitri are not keeping up, she kind of leans in and she starts whispering to you guys about making sure that you guys are being kept up.
[Music still plays in the background]
Twenty years ago Sweden's government, before they were going to join the House of Six – which also started about twenty years ago – Sweden's government got attacked. All of the officials were killed by a group called The Order. And The Order are a bunch of aggressive... You could call them Bounty Hunters. You can see that Tobias definitely calls them Bounty Hunters. Who decided to break in into the government building when there was a meeting being held there. And kill every single person that was in that building, complacent to the government or not. There were a lot of magical effects happening, and the moment the entire fight there was over and the government fell, a shadow fell over them. Not even in a figurative way. The entire country has not seen sunlight in twenty years. And people fled. And not a lot of them made it out. Wherever the people of the order went, there was just attacks upon attacks upon attacks. And the ones that made it out, turned to countries like the UK. France took a couple of refugees in. Germany did as well. Norway, Finland. And... Tobias is clearly looking into attacks happening as of late. You can hear Samira talk about attacks that happened in her country in the past five years. Same thing for Ciel. Ciel mentions attacks happening by The Order more near the south of the country. And, yes, you can tell from Ciel and Samira that they are very much agreeing with Tobias' votes. You can... Ciel makes a point that there is no good in hurting people, lawful or not. And she is very much... She? Wow. They are very much hammering on... "I don't want Bounty Hunters to stay legal, if the only thing that is going to be happening is hurting people. Because if one mistake happens and someone gets killed and they are innocent, there's nothing you can do to change that." And Samira talks about her family... one of her family members actively being in an attack of The Order, and... being killed in that attack.
RIK
To that mention...
ROVER
Mmhmm. Yeah?
RIK
To that mention, Pierre will just look away for a second. Re-catch his breath and (breathes in) face the table again.
ROVER
Mmhmm. And she... She and Brunhilde start getting into this kind of quarrel about her family being attacked in these... in the situations that keep revolving around bounty hunters in general. Because they all have noticed that The Order is currently not... You cannot immediately see that they are from The Order. Throughout the years, their appearances have started to change. And there's only a specific type of more shadow magic that is happening with them. And unless you can spot that from an attack or you are a witness of it, you cannot tell if this is an actual Bounty Hunter group or if this is The Order. And Tobias, Ciel, and Samira are very much against them. Now, Brunhilde and Luciano and Valkyra are all for the Bounty Hunters. Brunhilde's daughter is a Bounty Hunter. So her and Samira are, the entire time, in a quarrel about family issues. And Valkyra is very focused on the fact that she will not give up on bounty hunting as an official workplace. And she makes a point of, "No matter what happens, it is not their fault. You cannot blame every single Bounty Hunter for what happened twenty years ago." And it keeps being... Like, they're going against each other and at this point everyone's either shouting at each other, Tobias is slamming the table. They're getting on very, very frustrated, because it's just... They can't figure out what they want and Tobias is just at some point head in hands, sitting back into his chair.Just listening to everyone talk to each other.
MIKE
So, everything's pretty heated around the table, eh?
ROVER
Everything's pretty heated. No one's listening to each other anymore.
MIKE
Kol is gonna sit in the middle of this massive hubbub.
ROVER
Mmhmm.
MIKE
Slam his hands down on the table and go,
MIKE [as KOL]
(Yelling) Enough!
[Music stops]
Enough!
ROVER
Everyone goes quiet.
MIKE [as KOL]
Enough infighting! Please! Why don't we take a 5 minute adjournment? Just 5 minutes. Ciel, I'd like to speak to you in private, please.
ROVER
You can hear a couple of sighs going through the room. And, yeah, they start nodding and you can see that Brunhilde and Samira are finally looking at each other without pure hatred for each other's works, almost. And they're just like,
ROVER [as SAMIRA]
Fine. Fine, 5 minutes. (Breathes in) Just... Oh, someone fix my fucking headache.
ROVER
And people start getting up and taking a break.
ALYSSA
When she says, "Fix my headache", Yitri's gonna push the bottle of wine towards her a little bit. (Chuckles)
[Chuckles]
ROVER
She nods and she's like,
ROVER [as SAMIRA]
You are a saint.
ROVER
And she starts chugging her drink.
[Chuckles]
And yeah, Ciel walks up to Kol.
MIKE
Uhm, Kol is gonna look at the rest of the group and say, respectfully,
MIKE [as KOL]
Can I have the room, please?
ALYSSA [as YITRI]
Yeah, sure.
ALYSSA
Yitri just gets up, take her glass with her, drinks a little more and just goes.
ROVER
Samira follows you. Samira's like,
ROVER [as SAMIRA]
(Stammers) We'll vibe, it's okay.
[Alyssa laughs]
ROVER
And Valkyra grabs her glass together with Luciano and follows you guys as well.
RIK
Pierre gives –
ROVER
Tobias give you guys a glare before walking out. Yeah, and to you.
RIK
Pierre gives a brief look at Ciel, asking for confirmation.
ROVER
Yeah, Ciel nods at you, and is like,
ROVER [as CIEL]
I'll be alright.
ZOE
Aleks just reluctantly stands up and he glances at Kol. Kinda similar to how he looked at Yitri when she wanted to talk to him with a healthy amount of suspicion, but he will still leave with the rest.
ROVER
Mmhmm. Okay. And then we have Kol and Ciel.
MIKE [as KOL]
(Sighs) Ciel.
ROVER [as CIEL]
Koltrast.
MIKE [as KOL]
You need to do something for me.
ROVER [as CIEL]
Mmhmm. What is that?
MIKE
Kol... While everyone was leaving the room, Kol was scribbling on a piece of paper.
ROVER
Mmhmm.
MIKE
And hands it to her. And says,
MIKE [as KOL]
You know what to do.
ROVER
They…
MIKE
And then walks out of the room with the others.
ALYSSA
What the fuck?!
ROVER
Okay. While everyone is outside of the room and they are relaxing, you guys can hear someone coming up the stairs.
[Heavy footsteps]
ALYSSA
Uh oh.
[Tense, rhythmic music starts playing]
ROVER
And it is heavier footsteps. And then there's the sound of something or someone being dragged up the stairs?
ALYSSA
Huh?
ROVER
And you guys see the orange Tabaxi.
ALYSSA
This fucking bitch! This fucking bitch, again!
ROVER
The orange Tabaxi has this mask on. This completely black, more grim reaper-looking mask, large beak. And is dragging behind them a body.
ALYSSA
Great.
ROVER
And everyone stops talking and they push the body towards you guys. And around this beaten-up-looking body with burn marks on their skin, there's a bandage wrapped around their eyes.
RIK
Wait.
ROVER
And in their mouth, there is a golden coin. As if someone paid the ferryman. And you can, for the first time, hear the orange Tabaxi's voice going.
ROVER [as THE ORANGE TABAXI]
I... quit.
[Music stops abruptly]
Enjoy the cult.
ROVER
And leaves. And that is where we end the episode.
ALYSSA
I have so much to say!
RIK
What in the actual fuck?
ALYSSA
I have so much... Yitri has so much to say!
[Mike laughs]
Yitri has so much to say! She has so much... She wants to run out. Oh my god, that's next episode. But, whaa! What the fuck!
MIKE
Whoo!
ROVER
We'll see you in the final prologue episode of the Protectors of Remains To Be Seen.
ALYSSA
Ooh!
ROVER

ALYSSA
